Mostly the summers are endless across the Southern California coastal hills, but every once in a while a storm passes. When haze settles into the canyons and mist blows across the ridges, the colors of the landscape are at once muted and heightened. These are moments I am drawn to capture, with emphasis on color values and intricate details - something magical can be drawn out from the seemingly mundane.
