A Curious Current

A cornerstone of Laguna Beach’s public arts program is the summer banner display, where hand-painted large scale artwork hangs on light poles along the main beach roads in town. I had the opportunity to add to this collection in 2023, creating a playful graphic take on the underwater scenes of the City’s coves. Seaweed covers the rocks, kelp sways gently in the current, and glimpses of the bright orange Garibaldi fish are a signature delight.
